The Governance and Leadership Institute is a training center that capacitates government and public officials; civil society leaders and NGOs with the skills they urgently need as building blocks of professional governance.
As a leadership development and succession generation center, the institute shall not only train the present and future generations of administrators and managers but shall also engage in strong social formation that shall broaden horizons into the wider social ambit of citizenship and development. The institute as a community-building haven shall seek to establish collegiality among academic peers as well as scholars from other sectors. It shall provide a social networking mechanism where diverse professional energies can converge and promote groundbreaking interdisciplinary studies and research. It shall launch a strong promotion campaign to recruit the best minds in order to convince others of the worthiness and nobility of the governance enterprise. As such, it shall adopt a vocation component that reshapes the Spiritual Exercises of St Ignatius of Loyola to those contemplating and living out the governance vocation. |
